Activities Galore at Rally in the Dells
For the free day and evening on Wednesday ralliers
can select to pair up and take a trip to Circus World at Baraboo, House on the Rock Spring Green, or a boat cruise of the distinctive Upper Dells of the Wisconsin River. At night there will be the opportunity to take in the popular Tommy Bartlett Water Show, the highly rated Rick Wilcox Comedy and Illusion show, or dinner and show at Palace Theater across the Interstate in Lake Delton. Regardless of what is chosen, no one should be disappointed.
Catering the hot breakfasts will be the locally owned Stuff’s Restaurant and Catering of Wisconsin Dells. The owners of Country Roads will do the evening catering and prepare the meat for the potluck. Please be aware, how- ever, that members should be prepared to provide their own drink and place setting for these meals. This is being done to reduce the cost of the rally while still providing excellent menu options.
Not to be forgotten are the optional outings for the group. One is the $25 Army Ducks Tour of the Lower Dells and the other is the $7 trip to the scaled train and museum, the Riverside and Great Western.
The Seminars
Of course, there will be seminars, presentations, and craft classes at the RV park. The listing of those can be found in the following paragraphs as well as on the proposed sched- ule on pages eight and nine of this newsletter.
SkyMed representatives will be present to host a wine and cheese hour in which they’ll present information on SkyMed’s medical evacuation and repatriation service.
Conny Culver will be leading two sessions for ladies in which attendees will be guided in making a chain maile
bracelet and a gemstone necklace (see the images at right). Conny has significant experience and is looking forward to guiding the craft sessions.
Geoff Matthews, owner of Custom Coach Connection, will lead the session Secrets of TV in Your RV to help owners understand the possibilities with respect to nomadic TV connectivity.
Bret Wolfe, Technical VP, will be presenting his popular diesel engine seminars as he’s done for many other rallies. Bret will also be around for the roundtable session.
Byron Songer, DRVC’s editor, is planning to provide a humor time similar to the Brunswick session and also lead a session called “Wireless Connectivity on the Road.”
Dick Lorntson of Precision Alignment will conduct a ses- sion on suspension maintenance and alignment issues and be present to provide coach weighing for all four corners as a part of the rally fee.
All in all, Rally in the Dells will be another great rally.
