Exhaust brake's air control solenoid
« on: May 24, 2017, 11:22:46 AM »
I am 95% sure that the air valve on my  exhaust brake's air control solenoid is seized.  I have applied voltage to the 12V control line and I get a spark but no clicking of the valve.  My problem is finding where the valve is mounted. I have tried following the air line from the exhaust brake but it is in a sleeve that goes into a bundle of sleeved wires and hoses and seems to go to the other side of the engine.  Visibility is limited.  I have a 2006 Beaver Monterey with a CAT C9 450HP engine.  Hoping someone on here has found where it is mounted and maybe even has a picture.  Thank you.  Bob Jae
