mci mc7 detroit 871 shutting down after a couple minutes running HELP

my friend is trying to run her bus, and suddenly every couple minutes it shuts down, the gen like goes out nothing works.  then i comes back and will do the same thing in a couple minutes.  has anyone experienced this or something like it?  the bus was running great a couple weeks ago,  no idea what it can be

Reference to the gen is confusing to me but the other symptoms suggest a loose battery cable or ignition switch connection.

that was my guess but checked every connection i can find in the whole damn bus can find any problems.  thank anyway
