Exhaust manifold bolts
« on: May 17, 2018, 07:49:35 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has dealt with broken exhaust manifold bolts on a 2002 8.3 ISC Cummins . Is it a costly repair and what are the dangers of running it as is . Its in a Winnebago on a Spartan MM chassis.

dcahill48, you will not have any engine damage if your traveling and want to wait to a later when you get back to your home area.  I would suggest shopping around price for new complete exhaust gasket
set and cost for labor to replace broken bolts. You will find there will be a very big cost difference
between service shops. Not knowing your location and possible find a small welding shop where
experience will pay off in fast turn around. Suggestions stay away from these big repair shops
because they will go hunting for additional work and make your bill little higher.
