updating entertainment center
« on: April 03, 2020, 02:35:23 PM »
I'm going to change out my dumb TV with a 32" Samsung smart HDTV. For now just want to get ota free TV but encountered hundreds of antennas on the market. I've read how great they all are which does not make picking one easy. So I am going to trust real RV people with real experience rather than paid advertisements. Any ideas on what antennas you are using that you could recommend I take a look at? As always thanks for your help. Charlie.

I assume you have an OTA TV antenna on your roof already?  Probably a Winegard Batwing crank up antenna?  That should be all you need.   With your power amplified original antenna, you can pick up digital signals as good as, or maybe better than, the multitude of commonly available add on antennas you will find that are not specific to an RV.  The Winegard is elevated above your roof, rotatable for strong signal, and already there.

Trekker01, you are right about the winegard batwing antenna. So I think its probably the not so smart TV we have. Thanks so much, happy travels. Charlie.
