Title: Power steering fluid and filter
Post by: Captpar on February 07, 2018, 09:03:25 AM
I have a freightliner   XL chassis , does it have a power steering fluid reservoir and filter ?If so where is it located, never seen it in all my years of doing routine maintence. I had assumed that the hydraulic fluid was also the power steering fluid. Please advise.

First, I am assuming you have an XCL chassis. Reference to FCOC's Camp Freightliner class material says that chassis does have a PS reservoir.  See attached photos for details.

Thanks for your patience. I searched the internet and found a copy of the Freightliner XL Maintenance Manual and created a PDF of the Power Steering Section. Hopes that helps. If not, you may want to check the Freightliner Chassis official site https://www.fcccrv.com/ (https://www.fcccrv.com/) or the Freightliner Chassis Owners Club https://www.fcocrv.org/ (https://www.fcocrv.org/).
