CAT C13 - 525 hp info wanted
« on: August 02, 2013, 10:39:15 AM »
My "new to me" 2007 Beaver has a C13 525 HP cat. The Cat info I see posted only covers up to the 470 HP varient.  I would appreciate links/pdf's for my rig.  Thanks in advance.

Like Pete, you may have to call the Caterpillar RV Hotline with your engine serial number for that information.

Ken Carpenter left the following post to my request for help on my C10.  I would suggest you do the same as that is the only way I got all the info I was looking for.

From Ken
--"Pete,
--I did a quick search of the forum files and did not locate a copy of the C10 Performance Curve information.  Probably       --the quickest way to get the information is to send an email to Call_CAT@CAT.com.  In the email tell them you are looking --for the performance curve information for your engine and provide your engine serial number.

--Ken"

Good luck.

I guess I should look up my serial number and call Cat and get all the engine records too.

In the mean time, I did find ancillary evidence on the web that might support a sweet spot of 1325 rpm.

and a sales brochure from cat

This spec sheet is for the pre-2007 spec engine, but the curves may be similar for '07 spec.  According to the attached brocure, the '07 spec engine has a higher peak torque rating of 1750 lb.ft.
