Dear Forum Members:
We were excited to celebrate the Diesel RV Club's 20th anniversary during the 2024 rallies. With great disappointment and sad hearts, we now inform you of the Board of Directors’ decision to approve a resolution calling for the Diesel RV Club's dissolution. Members are now voting on that proposal.
The August 2024 Business Meeting documents outlined the Club’s declining membership and revenues. The Club has also been struggling for years to get volunteers to serve in leadership positions and to help host rallies. Finally, the DRVC policy designates the week before FMCA conventions as our rally dates, and given the uncertainty associated with FMCA’s future conventions, the time has arrived for us to take drastic measures.
This decision has been painful, but the club can no longer meet our members' realistic and justly deserved expectations.
The Fall 2024 Issue 67 of Travelore was the last—there will be no more. If you want to download or print any past newsletters, please do so before the end of 2024 as you will lose access when the website is taken down. The same goes for any information on the Diesel Forum site. We are hopeful arrangements can be made so the valuable information and guidance provided by the thousands of posts will still be available to diesel powered motorhome owners.
