Schedule Announded for Rally in the Pines
Woodwind-Playing Jazz Artist to Entertain
Steven Charles, who plays flute, saxophones, wind synthesizer, and even sings, will be the featured entertainer for the Spring 2016 DRVC rally. Steve will be performing his special blend of jazz which he calls “Atlanta Jazz” because it blends soul, pop, funk, blues, and new age elements. To this he adds his special flair of personal, improvisational expression, something expected of a Jazz artist.
Originally from Chicago’s south side, he has performed with an array of well-known art- ists, representing a broad musical spectrum including George Benson, Marvin Gaye, Otis Rush, Stephen Stills, and Mick Fleetwood, Charles has also performec with groups like The Neville Brothers, Indigo Girls, and members of Santana, Sly & the Family Stone.
